this and that

by rachel foster, found here

the hubs and i are born worriers.  we are the offspring of worriers.  it's in our blood and sometimes it just gets the best of us.
do you ever ask yourself, am i a good enough mom?  wife?  daughter? daughter-in-law? friend? grand-daughter? sister?  i have been asking myself these questions over the last couple of days and to be honest the answer is, not bad but could be better.  and on some days that answer sits just fine with me, but on other days, it's just not good enough.
that's why we need this poster in our house.  blown up.  huge.  in our bedroom so that it's the first thing we look at when we wake up in the morning.  these six words are the equivalent of a deep cleansing breath, child's pose, a cold beer on a beach, a hug from my baby.  ahhhhhhhhh.

*which leads me to this find:
once again, found here.

* i want to make these and these.  or even better, i want my mom to make them so i can eat tons of them shamelessly.

*hilarious.
prints by adam cohn, found here.

* ain't that the truth!

* another quote to be read daily:

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong because someday in your life you will have been all of these.

George Washington Carver

* along with this one:

Ever since happiness heard your name, it's been running through the streets trying to find you.

Rumi

*and last but not least, i am sweating this girl's t-shirt and hair.

there, i feel a little better already.
