guess what, y'all?

it's my blog-baby's first birthday!  yay!  i love this blog like a child.  it is my photo album, my journal, the place where i store ideas and images and things i love.  and i love YOU for even reading this little old thing.  it still blows my mind that people care enough to check in.


so to thank you for reading, i have decided to do what the big-time fancy bloggers do: a giveaway!

i made and gave these hand-painted burlap pillows as christmas gifts last year.  and now i want to make one for you.


  all you have to do is leave a comment, and at the end of the week i will submit your names into my super-duper random number selector (a.k.a. draw your name out of a hat) to select the winner.  once a winner is selected, i will contact you to get your "order" and shipping details.

    those are adorable...what a great idea!! can't believe you've only had your blog for 1 year! i feel like i've been reading about you and your precious family forever. btw, i LOVE your photo shoot of crosby! that is so precious! if i could get ella to sit still long enough i would do that myself.

    Oooh! A Cortney Martin original designed pillow??? I LOVE it. I still have fond memories of your creativeness rubbing off in the double wide: watercolored 4th of July cards, sketching with pastels, handmade envelopes...Ahhh those were the days.
